FAQ’s

How do I contact Uforage? You can contact us at hello@uforage.com.au

Inappropriate content, abuse and spam. What to do I do about it? Uforage is primarily for sourcing and sharing food. Inappropriate or silly content, hate speech, abuse, sexually explicit content, defamatory content or content unrelated to sharing and finding food risks being removed from Uforage. At the bottom of each listing users always have the ability to report a problem. Please be sure to report abuse or hate speech in private messages and exercise the ‘block‘ function where required.

What can I do if someone has pinned food on my private property? Each listing has a ‘report a problem‘ button and this function then allows you to choose the nature of the issue. One of the options includes the issue of a listing being pinned on your property without your permission. This option will immediately temporarily remove the listing whilst we review the complaint.

The photo identifier has incorrectly identified my listing. What can I do? Firstly the AI photo identifier is building it‘s own library so sometimes it may get it wrong from time to time. The identifier will suggest the name of the listing and you can override this if you know it is wrong. You also have the ability to edit your own listings at any time. If you notice a listing that isn‘t yours has been incorrectly identified you can report a problem or leave a comment on the listing and suggest the correct ID.

What category do I add my listing to? Our categories are fairly self explanatory. If you are a grower but would like to add a listing for free we recommend placing it under the ‘free / leftovers’ category. If you are not formally a farmer but are growing or making your own produce we still consider you a grower.

Will Uforage always be free? Currently yes it’s Free! Uforage will be expanding and growing to include even more functions and resources. We will eventually have a subscription option however the basic functions of finding and sharing food will always be free to ensure it is accessible for everyone.

Foraging etiquette. What is it? Foraging etiquette is considered the universal guidelines one should follow when foraging for wild growing food. Never eat a food you can’t 100% identify yourself, uforage is to be used as a guideline only. Please only take what you need and be sure to leave enough for the next person (and some for the birds). If you notice something wrong or that there is none left of what you came for, please be sure to leave a comment to help the next foragers.
